Good morning, COSA Community!
Just a reminder – COSA scholarship applications are still open! Applications close on June 18 at 11:59 p.m. MST, so apply today at Scholarships – Colorado Open Space Alliance (click link to open and learn more)!
This year, we are offering two scholarship categories:
- Emerging Professionals Scholarship – for individuals who have not attended a COSA Conference
- NEW! Returning Voices Scholarship – for individuals who have previously attended a COSA Conference
We do not have a set number of scholarships to award in each category, and scholarship awards will be based on the applications we receive. We encourage everyone who is eligible to apply!
Both categories are eligible for:
- Conference registration scholarship, or
- Conference registration + lodging scholarship
Scholarships are made possible through sponsor support, merchandise sales, and the generous contributions of the family and friends of the late Delani Wheeler. Delani was a passionate and energetic member of the COSA Steering Committee who played a key role in COSA’s formation and success, as well as an employee of the City of Boulder. In her honor, at least one full scholarship covering conference registration and lodging will be awarded.
Please keep in mind the following requirements and restrictions:
- Requirements – Candidates must be involved in open space, land trust, or natural resource management as an employee, board member, or student in an accredited program at the college level. Copy of a current student ID may be requested.
- Restrictions
- Costs paid by your agency or organization cannot be reimbursed through this scholarship.
- Individuals who have received a scholarship within the last two years are not eligible.
- COSA Board Members and members of the selection committee are not eligible for scholarships.
