Thinking Outside the Box About Green Jobs: A Workshop for Educators, Counselors, and College Students

Who:

  • Educators & Youth Leaders: Middle, high school, and higher education faculty, counselors, career advisors, 4-H staff and volunteers, and youth organization professionals working with young adults.
  • College Students: Emerging professionals interested in exploring green career pathways

What: An interactive professional development workshop and industry tour exploring green career pathways. Educators will gain ready-to-use curriculum, digital career tools, and practical strategies to immediately implement in career exploration instruction, while college students will gain direct industry perspectives and real-world career insight. All attendees will tour a local packaging facility, practice hands-on activities, and build local network connections across the green jobs sector.

Where: Colorado Springs (Packaging Express & CSU Extension Office)

When: November 14th, 2026 | 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Cost: $20 (fully refunded upon attendance; includes lunch and a physical copy of PLT’s Thinking Outside the Box activity collection)
