We are thrilled that our new position to help coordinate watershed health activities in the Weber / Jordan watersheds is now live! We are seeking a great candidate who can work with all of you and the Salt Lake City Department of Public Utilities and Weber Basin Water Conservancy District. Please share this link with your networks or any great candidates you want to work with: World Resources Institute Careers – Utah Watershed Health Coordinator (Associate I) (jobvite.com). I included a brief blurb of the position below, and we are hoping for someone who is a great project manager, communicator, and facilitator.
Watershed Health Coordinator (Associate I) to support watershed health and wildfire mitigation work in northern Utah and lead the scaling of a successful innovative finance pilot, the Resilience Fund, from the Weber River Watershed to include two additional tributaries to the Great Salt Lake: the Jordan River and the Bear River. This role will support watershed protection strategies, short- and long-term planning needs, and coordination and collaboration with key federal, state, utility, and other partners. In addition, this role will provide project management support for discrete projects in these watersheds. Significant stakeholder outreach and engagement will be required to both plan and support fuel reduction and watershed restoration projects across public and private lands.
Best,
Lizzie
