It is with great pleasure that I announce the release of Ecosystems as Models for Restoring our Economies. As the title suggests, this book explores the path toward restoring our economies, as informed by earth’s most resilient ecosystems, capable of sustaining the greatest number of species from the fewest resources. Below is an invitation to the official book launch, reviews, a link to where you can find a copy of the book, and a schedule of talks on the subject I will be delivering this fall and winter in CO and elsewhere.
Directly and indirectly, many of you have contributed to the content of this book, for which I cannot thank you deeply enough. I hope you enjoy the read, as you peel back the layers of our ecosystems and economies to discover the foundations and functions common to both. Stemming from our collective knowledge of ecological restoration, this book proposes a path for restoring our economies to a healthy state, and in the process strengthen our resistance to a future of expected global turmoil. If you believe ecosystems cannot possibly hold the clues to restoring our economies, may this book inspire you to think again.
