COSA Town of Windsor is hiring a Utility Technician

The Town of Windsor is currently accepting applications for a qualified Full Time Utility Technician.

You must have at least 2 years of Utility (wastewater) experience. This is a non-exempt position, eligible for benefits. Incumbents generally work 40 hours per week.

As a member of the Public Works, Wastewater Collection team, incumbents in this position perform a wide variety of technical, skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled utility system maintenance as well as complex and moderately complex technical and maintenance duties to ensure the proper treatment and continuous flow of wastewater for the Town of Windsor.

Pay Range: $20.51 to $25.64 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience

Qualifications:

•Minimum of two (2) years of Utilities experience, such as water or wastewater collection

•Minimum high school diploma or GED required

•Equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.

•Must possess a valid Colorado Commercial Class B driver’s license in good standing

•Colorado Class 1 Wastewater Collection license or the ability to obtain within 1 year of hire (or two test cycles). Colorado Class 2 Wastewater Collection preferred.

•Colorado Class 1 Water Distribution license or the ability to obtain within 2 years of hire (or three test cycles).

•Flagger Certification or the ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.

•Current CPR and 1st Aid certificate or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

•FEMA 100, 200, and 700 certificates or the ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
