Carbondale-based Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers (RFOV) is hiring 3 seasonal field positions for 2023.

All positions are6-month seasonal opportunities, April 17-October 15, 2023. All roles are field-based and include living, professional development, and gear stipends. The RFOV office is in Carbondale, CO while the service area extends from Independence Pass to Parachute, Marble to Glenwood Canyon.

Title: Trail Crew Leader Description: Responsible for supervising and leading a crew of 3-5 individuals as well as youth corps groups and volunteer groups on both frontcountry and backcountry trail and restoration projects.

Description: Responsible for working with a crew of 3-5 individuals as well as youth corps groups and volunteer groups on both frontcountry and backcountry trail and restoration projects.

  • All Trail Crew positions spend approximately half of the season in the Maroon Bells-Snowmass and Hunter-Frying Pan Wilderness Areas, with the other half of the season focusing on frontcountry projects throughout our service area.

Title: Field Coordinator
Description: Responsible for assisting with coordination and implementation of RFOV’s field-based stewardship and volunteer programs.
