Boulder County Parks and Open Space (BCPOS) Department, Water Group of the Agricultural Resources Division, is seeking to hire a Water Resources Specialist. The Water Resources Specialist will assist with the management of BCPOS water rights for agricultural and natural resource values.
The Agricultural Division of BCPOS provides for the stewardship of over 13,000 acres of irrigated cropland though partnerships with 65 agricultural tenants. In addition to managing agricultural water, the Water Resources Specialist will serve as a representative on interdepartmental teams with projects including flood restoration, fish passage, capital improvements, and water management planning.
New employees receive an 80-hour bank of vacation at the time of hire, in addition to 8 hours of both vacation and medical leave accruals each month.
This is a full-time, benefited position. This position will work Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm and is based at BCPOS Headquarters located at 5201 St. Vrain Rd. Longmont, Colorado.
