COSA City of Longmont Hiring for a Temporary Watershed Forestry Technician

City of Longmont is hiring for a temporary Watershed Forestry Technician! This interdisciplinary position will support the Forest Stewardship Program and general resource management at Longmont’s Button Rock Preserve (west of Lyons, CO).

The hiring range for this position starts at $28.05/hr. Employment is expected to start in late-March/early-April and last until early-November. Limited hours may be available into the winter months to support prescribed fire operations pending available funding.

Preferred qualifications include experience operating forestry equipment, chainsaw certification, experience managing forest health projects (e.g., timber cruising, marking, managing contractors), and wildland firefighter certification.
